പുനർജനി
ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ ലോകം മിഴി പൂട്ടുമ്പോൾ
എനിക്കൊരു ധ്യാനത്തിലേക്ക് ഉൾവലിയണം
അമ്മേ, നിന്റെ ഉദരമാകുന്ന വാല്മീകം
നീ ഇന്നെനിക്കായി ഒരിക്കൽക്കൂടി തുറക്കുക
ഞാനതിലേക്ക് ഉൾപ്രവേശിച്ചീ രാവ് മുഴുവൻ
എന്നെ വീണ്ടും നിന്നോട് ചേർത്ത് വയ്ക്കട്ടെ
നിന്റെ പൊക്കിൾ കൊടിയിൽ എന്റെ
കുഞ്ഞിളം മേനി ഞാനിന്നു തുന്നി വയ്ക്കും
നിന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ സ്പന്ദനങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങും
എവിടെയോ നഷ്ടമായ എന്നെ തന്നെ ഞാൻ വീണ്ടെടുക്കും
നാളെ പുലരിയിൽ ലോകം മിഴി തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ
നിന്റെ ജീവ വാതിലിലൂടെ എനിക്ക് പുനർജനിക്കണം
നാളെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നു കൂടി നോവിപ്പിച്ചോട്ടെ നിന്നെ
നോവിലും വിരിയുന്ന നിൻ പുഞ്ചിരി കാണും ഞാൻ
നിന്നെയും ഏവരെയും നോക്കി മോണ കാട്ടി
നിഷ്കളങ്കമായി പുഞ്ചിരി തൂകണമെനിക്കു
നിന്റെയും ഏവരുടെയും സ്നേഹലാളനങ്ങൾ
ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങും ഞാൻ മനം നിറയെ
ഒടുവിൽ എന്നിലെ കുഞ്ഞിനെ നെഞ്ചിലെ ചെപ്പിൽ
കുടിയിരുത്തി ഞാനീ ധ്യാനം വിട്ടുണരും!!!
ഇനി വേണമെനിക്കു നനുത്ത പ്രഭാതങ്ങളിൽ
കറുത്ത ഹൃദയമുള്ള മനുഷ്യരെ നോക്കി
വെളുത്ത പുഞ്ചിരി സമ്മാനിക്കാൻ !!!

Happy birthday Anoop.I shall do a detailed analysis of this poem at a later date,hopefully in Malayalam. This poem greatly impressed me with the novelty of the theme.The poem celebrates birth and life.Also it's a tribute to the speaker's mother,who brought him to this world.It shows the bond between the baby and his mother.The poem has a dream-like quality as it reconstructs the arrival of the baby. Perhaps the poet got this vision from his dhyanam.
ReplyDeleteEven though it's not directly mentioned, the poem sends a strong message against abortion and child abuse.The poet has previously voiced his strong indignation against child abuse,in his poem ''Vidarum Mumbe'.In the present poem,the unborn baby is a person who has feelings and emotions. He even acknowledges his mother's pain during childbirth,but he knows that it's a sweet pain that a mother wholeheartedly endures to fulfil her noble role or 'niyogam'.The poet isn't oblivious to the evil that is lurking in the society.eg "karutha hrudayamulla manushyare nokki'.The poem perfectly suits the celebration of the poet's birthday.
